Xperience Engineering Project
What is it?
The Xperience Engineering Project is a primary school initiative which aims to spark an interest in engineering while covering important curriculum links. Schools register to compete in this project and then have five months to develop their ideas. Further information here:
Why should I sign up?
The Xperience Engineering programme offers free teaching resources, is linked to various aspects of the primary curriculum and you can compete to win a great prize for your school.Have a look at the projects completed last year in the schools profile section or at the photographs from the National Final in June 2011.

What is available for teachers?
Teachers recieve teacher's guidelines with tips on how to start the project. There are also Activity sheets disributed during the project to with hands o on activities for the classroom as well as information on various aspects of engineering. How do I register?
The Xperience Engineering Project is closed for online registration. However you can find out about the project by contacting info@steps.ie.
What's the theme for 2012?
Projects should reflect the Xperience Engineering theme which changes each year. During the project participants are encouraged to explore their locality for an object, place or structure that is in line with the Xperience Engineering theme.The theme of the competition changes each year.
The theme for the 2012 project is 'Technology for Life'.
How does it fit into the curriculum?
