Xperience Engineering Project Overview
The Xperience Engineering Project is a primary school initiative which aims to spark an interest in engineering while covering important curriculum links. Schools register to compete in this project and then have five months to develop their ideas.
This project was designed to cover important aspects of the primary curriculum in an engaging way. Look at the curriculum links the project covers here. STEPS provide the schools with worksheets and other opportunities to avail of bonus points for their project. A visit by an engineer is an activity that will receive bonus points. Find out more about our volunteers here. Over the course of five months participants are given a unique opportunity to explore how engineering surrounds them in their locality and how engineering affects their daily lives. Look at previous winners and participants in our Schools Profile section here.
Projects should reflect the Xperience Engineering theme which changes each year. During the project participants are encouraged to explore their locality for an object, place or structure that is in line with the Xperience Engineering theme.
