Engineering Your Future 2015 at IT Tallaght

Applications are now closed for the Engineering Your Future TY programme at IT Tallaght.

Note: After the programme, Engineers Ireland will from time to time contact students who took part in EYF via email, to gauge their ongoing interest levels in engineering.

About the programme at IT Tallaght
Engineering Your Future at IT Tallaght is a week-long summer camp for Transition Year students interested in exploring what is involved in an engineering career. 

Students will spend the week interacting with engineering graduates and researchers, and applying all types of engineering concepts to solve many different types of design challenges.  Students will write computer programmes, design and build electronic circuits, design mechanical parts using CAD systems, and work in the engineering laboratories. 

The Transition Year camp provides opportunities for students to discover the endless interesting challenges which are part of engineering.
Cost to attend: EUR60 per student, or EUR50 per student if two or more students attend from the same family. (NOTE: Fee is waived for applicants from DEIS schools.)
Application criteria Students should have an interest in solving problems using their knowledge of mathematics and science.

The successful applicants will be chosen through a combination of factors, including Junior Cert results and reasons for wanting to participate in the programme.
Other information Students must cover their own travel expenses to and from college.

Students must commit to attending every day of the programme.

Students will be provided with a lunch voucher of EUR5 to use in the college canteen.
